The Hon Senator Birmingham confirmed that the My eQuals Project was a strong example of universities innovating for the benefits of students.
“Universities have an opportunity with this Project to better enable students to move between institutions at home and abroad which will help further boost the reputation of our higher education sector. In a globally mobile world the ability for institutions and employers to verify qualifications is increasingly important. Initiatives like this will strengthen our education reputation overseas and it is a great example of what universities can achieve when they cooperate, not just for themselves and students but for the objectives laid out in the Turnbull Government’s National Strategy for International Education 2025. It’s great to see such strong engagement from our universities because the Digital Student Data Project will help build trust in the quality and portability of Australian qualifications in Asia and around the world.”
